At Last! – completion of a successful agreement reached with Bellway and ESBC to vary the remaining S106 monies conditions

The remaining monies allocated to the village as part of the S106 agreement for the Bellway estate development originally had a stringent condition attached (namely provision of changing facilities at Craythorne playing field). After significant investigation, exploration of quotes, requirements etc., with the help of Rolleston Football Club, it was agreed to approach ESBC and Bellway to request to vary this. Agreement of this variation means that the Parish Council will finally be able to move forward with projects including:

• the end-of-life, aging zip wire will be decommissioned and removed before the winter months, ready for a brand-new replacement to be installed next year.
• playing pitch improvements including drainage works will be carried out on the playing field
• outdoor gym equipment installation (subject to value of funds remaining after the zip wire and pitch improvements projects)

In readiness for the project to replace the zipwire, the old one will be decomissioned over the weekend of 3rd / 4th October and then removed completely over the next couple of months.
