Following our recent engagement with residents, we are progressing development of a Property Flood Resilience (PFR) scheme. Our aim is to secure funding to deliver PFR measures to approximately 35 properties identified at highest risk, with the intention of completing initial property surveys in the 2026/27 financial year.
At this stage, we have not been allocated Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDGiA) funding for next financial year. However, we are intending to submit a bid for Local Levy money to support initial property-level surveys. This bid has not yet been submitted, and we expect that it may take several months before the outcome is known. We will continue to bid for money throughout this year and for next. In addition, new national funding rules for Natural Flood Management (NFM) schemes have recently been introduced. As this is a new approach, we are currently reviewing how these funding opportunities could be applied to Rolleston-on-Dove and we will provide further updates as this work progresses.
We will continue to keep the Parish Council informed as the project develops.
